New apartment update. The walls are not painted. Obviously. However, things have settled in and are coming along quite well, decoratingly wise. There is a vague plan in place to paint sometime in the near future, so consider these "before" the final touches.
To start, here's the bedroom.
There's an old fireplace nook behind the bed. There's absolutely no way to show it off by rearranging the furniture, at least as far as I can tell.
The Non-Virgin Mary
We picked this up for a great price at the Brooklyn Flea, which was a surprise. Usually I go, stare at hilariously overpriced Dansk pots, get some fish tacos and go home.
I planted the terrarium a few weeks ago with goodies from Sprout, my new oasis.
A view into the closet. I completely took it over and made it my girly dressing room. I need to figure out how to discreetly integrate some hampers so we're not tripping over Ikea bags full of dirty clothes every morning.
So that's the bedroom. The paint plan is to do a very gray blue (I think?) and paint about 2/3 of the wall, leaving the top third white. That will hopefully create a cool, faux wainscoting effect and bounce the light to the ceiling. There is already some wainscoting and molding in that room, but it's uneven. Imagine that.
