High Way

The High Line is a former-railway-turned-sexy-raised-park running south through Chelsea and the Meat Packing District.

It's beautifully done. The plants and flowers look right at home, and the industrial buildings and faded railway ties contrast perfectly.

Plus-- there's lounge chairs. Come on.

Check out the neighborhood from up here.

Watch oncoming traffic.

And thar she blows-- the Statue of Liberty

After walking down and back with my camera, I had a refreshing cucumber lemonade and a little sit, and then headed back out to find some crisps at Myers of Keswick.
